Neighbor Helping Neighbor Program
Neighbor Helping Neighbor
In farm country, people naturally tend to pull together to tackle the many challenges of growing food for a living. Whether flood, drought or depression, farmers know that when neighbors pitch in to help each other, everyone can get through even the toughest of times.
Here at Klesick Family Farm, we live by that credo, and we’ve found that many of our customers share our belief in the importance of reaching out to those in need. That’s why more than 10 years ago we started our Neighbor Helping Neighbor program, a simple idea that produces profound results.
How it works
Neighbor Helping Neighbor is designed to contribute fresh organic produce to the local food bank system. Our customers sign up to donate a box of good, and we deliver it to the Stanwood/Camano Food Bank on their behalf. Each week we match our customers’ generosity by adding a fifth box of produce for every four boxes that are donated.
Last year, Neighbor Helping Neighbor provided fresh organic produce to more than 600 families in Snohomish County. During this time of even greater need, we are committed to expanding our contributions. It’s an easy, cost-effective and wonderful way for you to help provide the good nutrition and the good feelings that are created when families in need can put healthy food on their tables.

A wealth of good
A number of our loyal customers have asked whether they could donate Klesick Family Farm organic produce directly to people in their local areas. In response, we launched a new program called A Wealth of Good. Here’s how it works:
A minimum of six friends, family, church members or neighbors sign up to pledge one box of good from each donor every month for a minimum of six months. On an agreed-upon delivery day, the boxes are dropped off at the designated location—a church, school, food bank or community center.
Each Wealth of Good donor team is responsible for prompt delivery of the produce to the needy families that have been identified in their area. Of course, the team then collects the empty boxes prior to following month’s delivery so they can be returned and reused. Klesick Family Farm staff handles all the paperwork and billing on our end.
“We’re committed to this program because I want people using the food bank to have the same wonderful produce our family gets to enjoy.” Gail Benchley
“Klesick Family Farm produce is so good and so fresh. It’s a great value, and I’m happy to be able to share that with people in need.” Michele Payton
