Neighbor Helping Neighbor

In farm country, people naturally tend to pull together to tackle the many challenges of growing food for a living. Whether flood, drought or depression, farmers know that when neighbors pitch in to help each other, everyone can get through even the toughest of times.

Here at Klesick Family Farm, we live by that credo, and we’ve found that many of our customers share our belief in the importance of reaching out to those in need. That’s why more than 10 years ago we started our Neighbor Helping Neighbor program, a simple idea that produces profound results.

How it works

Neighbor Helping Neighbor is designed to contribute fresh organic produce to the local food bank system. Our customers sign up to donate a box of good and we deliver it to a local area food bank on their behalf. Each week we match our customers’ generosity by adding a fifth box of produce for every four boxes that are donated.

Last year, Neighbor Helping Neighbor provided over 750 boxes of fresh organic produce to our community. During this time of even greater need, we are committed to expanding our contributions. It’s an easy, cost-effective and wonderful way for you to help provide the good nutrition and the good feelings that are created when families in need can put healthy food on their tables.
